About Visual/Graphic Communications

Students engage in a structured sequence of coursework that introduces foundational and advanced concepts in design theory, color psychology, typography, layout, branding, user experience (UX), and digital illustration. Learners apply these principles through hands-on projects that utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and related applications) as well as emerging digital platforms. Students develop practical skills in photo editing, vector illustration, logo and brand identity creation, publication design, digital imaging, and multimedia content production.

The program may also feature opportunities to earn industry-recognized credentials, such as Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) certifications, which validate technical mastery and increase employability. Work-based learning experiences, including project partnerships with school programs, local businesses, or community organizations, provide students with authentic design challenges that mirror professional practice.

This pathway prepares students for entry-level roles such as graphic design assistant, digital media creator, social media content designer, layout specialist, or branding assistant. They are likewise positioned to pursue further education in graphic design, digital media arts, marketing, web design, animation, or related creative fields.
