Students engage in an in-depth sequence of coursework that covers foundational and advanced competencies in hair cutting, styling, coloring, chemical texturizing, skin care, makeup application, nail technology, sanitation and disinfection procedures, and customer service. Instruction integrates theory-based learning with extensive hands-on practice using industry-standard tools, products, and technologies. As students develop their technical abilities, they also refine essential skills such as client consultation, service planning, product knowledge, and professional communication.

A key component of the pathway is preparation for the Indiana State Board of Cosmetology licensure examinations. Students accumulate the necessary training hours, develop mastery of service competencies, and complete rigorous practical and written assessments.

The pathway prepares students to pursue careers as licensed cosmetologists, hair stylists, nail technicians, estheticians, makeup artists, salon assistants, or customer service professionals within salons, spas, and related beauty and wellness industries.
