About Marketing and Sales
Students progress through a structured course sequence that explores core marketing concepts including market research, segmentation, positioning, branding, product development, pricing strategies, distribution channels, digital marketing, and integrated marketing communications. Emphasis is placed on experiential learning and real-world application as students generate marketing solutions, conduct research projects, design promotional materials, analyze case studies, and engage in simulated or authentic sales scenarios. Learners also examine the ethical, cultural, and economic factors that influence marketing decisions in both domestic and global markets.
The pathway culminates in advanced coursework and potential work-based learning experiences that prepare students for college credit opportunities and careers in fields such as marketing specialist, sales representative, advertising coordinator, market researcher, digital marketing strategist, public relations assistant, and retail or brand management. Indiana’s Marketing and Sales NLPS empowers students to become strategic thinkers, innovative communicators, and engaged practitioners who contribute meaningfully to the dynamic world of business and consumer engagement.
